The Green Goddess Fat Burner Juice



I LOVE starting my day off with my cleansing and fat burning Green Goddess Juice. When I drink it, I can feel every cell in my body singing from happiness as they each absorb all the power health benefits from this combo of citrus, roots and greens. 

But what are the benefits?

Let me break it down for you.

Oroblanco Grapefruit is one of my fav super foods because it helps burn fat, boost metabolism, improve insulin resistance, strengthen the immune system and ½ grapefruit will provide you with 64% of your daily Vitamin C. Grapefruit also helps reduce kidney stone risks, fights gum disease, protects against cancer and helps to reduce stress!

Lemon, first thing in the morning, is one of the most cleansing things you can put into your body. Lemon juice helps flush out toxins, waste and aids in digestion. It also helps with heartburn and reduces inflammation because it dissolves uric acid. Lemon is very high in Vitamin C, so if you feel run down or feel like you are getting a cold, boil some water, squeeze the juice from one lemon into it and stir in 1-2 teaspoons of raw honey for a powerful cold-killer.

Fennel is another powerful addition to my Green Goddess Juice because it is antibacterial, aids in digestion, reduces gas, constipation, diarrhea (yes, I just went there), respiratory issues, menstrual disorders and is also a diuretic.

Cucumber fights inflammation, is full of antioxidants, freshens your breath and will also aid in digestion.  Cucumbers can also help reduce acid reflux, breast, uterine, ovarian and prostate cancers.

Romaine lettuce is a multivitamin in itself! It has more Vitamin A than a carrot, is full of riboflavin, Vitamin B6, Omega-3's, Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Copper, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Thiamin, Folate, Iron, Potassium and Manganese. Who knew this leafy green was so good for you!?!

Green Goddess Recipe:

Ingredients:

1                           Grapefruit, peeled

1                           Lemon, no peel.

¼ Bub                   Fennel

¼                          English cucumber

1-2 Handfuls        Romaine 

Directions:

Peel grapefruit and lemon. Cut all ingredients and start juicing away! Enjoy!
