Valentine's Day Chocolate Dipped Strawberries Recipe and How To Make Video!

Chocolate dipped strawberries are one of the easiest and OHHH-SO-SEXY desserts that you can make. The only problem is that the chocolate the beautiful berries are dipped in is not so hot for your bod! 

Instead of using conventional chocolate chips that are filled with sugar, preservatives and chemical stabilizers, or worst, buying a box of them from the market, make them at home using my all organic, natural, raw, real Chocolate Shell Sauce. 

My take on this traditional V-day treat is not only healthy but it is also a sexy dessert that you and your honey can have fun making together….If ya know what I mean! ;)

FYI:  Since everything in this recipe is natural, note that the chocolate will melt because there are no stabilizers in it to keep it hard. If you are serving them on a buffet or leaving them out, place a bowl of ice cubes under the plate to keep them cold.

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries


1 Pint                                                 Organic Strawberries, chilled

1/4 Cup                                     Organic Coconut Oil, liquid form

1/2 Cup + 1 Tablespoon             Raw Cacao Powder or Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

1 Teaspoon                                     Spirulina Powder

1-2 Tablespoons                         Raw Local Honey, maple syrup or ¼ Teaspoon Stevia

4 Pinches o                                    Pink salt

1 Tablespoon                                     Almond/nut butter

10-15                                                 Toothpicks or skewer sticks

Organic Super Food Toppings:

Cacao nibs, chia seeds, organic cinnamon, unsweetened shredded coconut, hemp seeds or salt.


Wash and dry the strawberries, well.  If there is any water on the berries, the chocolate will run off. Place in the fridge to chill.

Melt coconut oil in a pot. Once liquid, add to a bowl. Combine with cocoa powder, Spirulina, sweetener of choice, salt and almond butter. Mix well and let come to room temp.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Take chilled strawberries and place a toothpick/skewer stick in the top. Dip strawberries into chocolate sauce, letting the excess run off. Place on the lined baking sheet and garnish with the SuperFood toppings of choice.

Place in the freezer for 20 minutes or until the chocolate hardens up and enjoy!

Use the extra sauce for a little extra V-day fun!

Get creative by adding any Super Food toppings. I LOVE cacao nibs, chia seeds (pictured), unsweetened shredded coconut (pictured), or hemp seeds. Sprinkle these on the strawberries right after you finish dipping them. If you like salted chocolate, try sprinkling a little pink salt over the berries.
